Two star bakers, popular television presenters and the BBC MasterChef Champion of Champions were among the famous faces who appeared this year.
Festival favourite Chris Bavin also returned to host the cookery theatre across the weekend. where we had Dean Edwards, Chris Baber and Nelly Ghaffar appearing on Saturday and Georgie Grasso, Paul A Young and Ping Coombes on Sunday.

Chris Baber,

With his kitchen expertise which began working under critically acclaimed Michelin-starred chef Atul Kocchar partnered with his background in athletics and passion for fitness Chris has developed a unique approach to eating well and has just had his second Men’s Fitness Cover and recipe series blending his passion for food and fitness.


Nelly Ghaffar,
Bake Off 2024 Contestant
Nelly catapulted into the public eye after competing on the most recent season of The Great British Bake Off where her infectious personality captured the hearts of the viewers and often resulted in many viral moments across socials. Along with her humour, Nelly used the shows platform to shed light on issues close to her heart such as baby loss. Since the show, Nelly has created a loyal fanbase, who continue to support her through her social channels, with an ever growing following of over 300k across her social media platforms.
Dean Edwards,
TV Chef, Author and TikTok Chef
Dean Edwards is a Bristol-born chef, best known for his role as a resident chef demonstrator on ITV’s breakfast show Lorraine. Dean’s cost-cutting and family-friendly recipes, cheeky personality and accessible approach to cooking have made him a firm favourite with viewers.
Dean was a digger driver before he became a famous chef – his cooking career began when he finished in second place on BBC’s MasterChef in 2006. Since then, he has authored six cookbooks, appeared on a plethora of UK TV shows and amassed a huge social media following.


Paul A Young,
Award-winning Chocolatier
World-renowned chocolatier Paul Young will be giving a cookery demonstration to festivalgoers on the Sunday.
Paul has been named one of the world’s finest master chocolatiers since opening his first chocolatery in 2006. He is known for his innovation, creative flavour combinations and his approachable way of making chocolate part of anyone’s cooking repertoire.
Georgie Grasso,
Great British Bake Off Winner
Georgie is a proud Welsh-Italian and lives in a farmhouse with her family as well as ten hens, two ducks, two dogs, and a cat. She has been on quite the journey already winning the great british bake off and can’t wait for plenty more adventures this year.


Ping Coombes,
BBC Masterchef Champion of Champions
Ping stunned the MasterChef judges with food inspired by her Malaysian heritage to become MasterChef 2014 Champion. She took the famous trophy home again, winning BBC MasterChef Champion of Champions in 2022, becoming the first double MasterChef Champion.
Growing up in Ipoh, Malaysia surrounded by amazing food, Ping was inspired by her mother’s cookery. Now living in the UK and travelling globally, she draws inspiration from her heritage but delivers her food with modern twists and ingredients found locally.
Chris Bavin,
TV Chef & Author
First discovered by a TV production company in 2011, Chris has gone from strength to strength and is co-presenter of BBC One’s popular series Eat Well for Less? alongside his new co-presenter Jordan Banjo.
In addition to the successful series, Chris has presented Tomorrow’s Food with Dara O’Brian, The Truth about Meat, and Food: Truth or Scare with Gloria Hunniford.
