The festival brings together live music and performances from some of the region’s finest. We are delighted to announce our 2025 acts!.
From marvelling at the antics of street circus performer Stanley Youngman to creating willow boats and sea creatures in the craft tent or getting up close to prehistoric fossils and a life-sized cast of a T. Rex skull – it is going to be an unforgettable weekend.
Other highlights will include storytelling and songs from Mad Alice Theatre Company, unbelievable gigantic bubbles courtesy of The Bubble Whisperer and hilarious outdoor theatre show featuring a giant parrot, mermaids, seahorses and treasure.
Music fans are also catered for with live performances taking place throughout the weekend.

Bell & Bullock
Located at North Terrace
Pirates, Parrots, Sirens and Seahorses – Saturday
Captain Bullock rides Polly, his temperamental giant parrot, on a quest for treasure, birdseed and romance. Meanwhile Meranda, the gorgeous Mermaid, rides a beautiful seahorse drawn chariot, spreading beauty tips and amorous looks on her swim past.
All at Sea – Sunday
The debonair Captain Monty Montague pilots his luxury cabin cruiser whilst towing his gorgeous water skiing wife Minty. Join them for a spot of tiddler fishing from their offshore tax haven and take care not to end up as catch of the day yourself!


Stanley Youngman Comedy Street Theatre
Located at North Terrace
A brilliant street circus performer, marvel as Stanley showcases his juggling talents. With lots of mad-cap antics and audience interaction this ‘Comedy Street Theatre’ that is guaranteed to bring smiles to faces.
Willow Crafts
Located at North Road Clifftop
Make your way to the crafts tent and create your own willow boat, fish or fantastical sea creature with the help of artists from The Barn at Easington.

Wild West Dino Discovery
Located at North Road Clifftop
Get ready for a “roaring good time” with this dinosaur adventure! Touch and explore prehistoric fossils & replicas. Grab a photo op with Stan, a life-sized cast of a T. rex skull. Guess the dinosaurs on display from their bones! Fun for all ages!

Storytelling and Songs

Join Shelley and Pete from Mad Alice Theatre Company for some very tall tales and Triassic inspired tunes! Props provided by the Wild West Dino Discovery.


The Bubble Whisperer

Creating unbelievable gigantic bubbles, colourful bubbles, bubble monsters, bubble tubes and more, this extreme bubble street performer is one of a kind!

Weathership
Located at North Road Ampitheatre
An indie rock band from Teesside, who’s emotionally charged sound is quickly gaining recognition. Their debut album, Splendid Beast, has been well received for its blend of indie, post-rock, and folk elements, drawing comparisons to iconic bands such as Radiohead and The Beatles. With their unique ability to unfold the full spectrum of human emotion in their music, Weathership’s live shows have already captivated audiences at festivals like Twisterella and Stockton Calling.

Isabel Maria
Located at North Road Ampitheatre
Isabel Maria’s quietly passionate and painfully articulate lyrics have gained her critical acclaim, including being the youngest ever recipient of the coveted Alan Hull Award. The Sunderland based singer-songwriter pens witty indie folk-pop ballads which capture the broad, winding themes of human relationships and social injustices.

Ani Sandwith
Located at North Road Ampitheatre
Ani Sandwith is a dynamic vocal powerhouse and multi-instrumentalist, fusing neo soul, jazz-infused pop, and raw rock energy. Praised by BBC Introducing as having “one of those voices that reaches out of the speakers and holds onto you,” she channels the spirit of blues icons like Elkie Brooks and Bonnie Raitt. Performing nationally since age sixteen, Ani has built a reputation as a memorable and passionate live performer, with sold-out hometown shows, UK tours, and major appearances at Glastonbury, Mouth of the Tyne with Sam Fender, and The Glasshouse ICM’s Summer Studios residency.

Ryder

The debut album from Sunderland-based band Ryder is packed full of anthems from start to finish, capturing the raw spirit of northern rock with a modern edge. Combining the swagger of Oasis with the electrifying energy of Kasabian, Only The Brave is an album brimming with heart, attitude, and undeniable hooks. From soaring choruses to gritty guitar riffs, Ryder deliver a sound that’s both nostalgic and refreshingly original. Fans can expect a powerful live performance as Ryder headline the Seaham Carnival Festival, playing every track from Only The Brave—and more. This is a band destined for big stages and bigger crowds.

CHAT

Chat are a synthpop duo consisting of producer Jordan Miller (Vandebilt) and vocalist Beccy Young (This Little Bird). Inspired by current pop queens (Lady Gaga, Kylie, Roisin Murphy) and the many electro duos of the 80s (Eurythmics, Pet Shop Boys, Yazoo), Chat were recently voted ‘Best Newcomer’ in SparkFM’s Local Music Awards. The duo have received radio play on BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and SparkFM amongst others and recently completed their first tour, supporting Newcastle funk soul legends Smoove and Turrell across the UK.

The Rock Choir

We’re delighted to welcome back the stunning vocal arrangements of the North East’s biggest choir. Rock Choir is described as the world’s largest contemporary choir, holding three Guinness World Records – ‘biggest hit act in the UK’, ‘largest musical act to release an album’ and ‘largest song and dance routine held at multiple locations’.

Hannahbiell & Midnight Blue
