This is the first year we’ve had a dedicated music stage at Seaham Food Festival.
On the Saturday we have an exciting line up showcasing some of the best Indie/Alternative bands from the region, including a mix of emerging talent and established names.
Sunday offers a more eclectic mix of genres ranging from pop, to country, jazz and rock n roll.

Bell & Bullock
The debonair Captain Monty Montague pilots his luxury cabin cruiser whilst towing his gorgeous water skiing wife Minty. Join them for a spot of tiddler fishing from their offshore tax haven and take care not to end up as catch of the day yourself!

Daryll
A brilliant street circus performer, marvel as Daryll showcases his juggling talents. With lots of mad-cap antics and audience interaction this ‘Comedy Juggler’ is guaranteed to bring smiles to faces.

Hungry Chefs
Watch out! With their inflated egos bounding around on big bouncing stilts, these Hungry Chefs use their super sensitive sense of smell to sniff out a rare delicacy! If you’re lucky they’ll tenderise your shoulders for you with a nice little massage, season you with their giant black crack pepper grinder, and garnish you with a little twig of parsley from their mobile herb selection.

The Dinnerladies
Good-time girls Freda and Rita are on hand to serve up a large dollop of foody fun from their gorgeous gingham-clad serving trolley. From fingernail checks to orderly line (dancing) these luscious ladies will spread their healthy eating message using comedy, music and dance. So remember to eat your five a day… two chocolate oranges, two toffee apples and a helping of Black Eyed Peas!

The Bubble Whisperer
Creating unbelievable gigantic bubbles, colourful bubbles, bubble monsters, bubble tubes and more, this extreme bubble street performer is one of a kind!

Isabel Maria
At just 17, Isabel Maria’s quietly passionate and painfully articulate lyrics have already gained her the coveted 2024 Alan Hull Award. The Sunderland based singer-songwriter pens witty indie folk-pop ballads which capture the broad, winding themes of mental health, human relationships, and social injustices.

Primaveras
Known for their vibrant sound and evocative lyrics, Primaveras blends lush melodies with driving rhythms to create a unique musical experience. Since forming in 2021, the band has captivated audiences with their energetic live performances and infectious tunes. With influences ranging from classic rock to modern indie, Primaveras brings a fresh, dynamic presence to the stage. Their debut EP, ‘Taboo’, showcases their ability to craft memorable songs that resonate with listeners. Join Primaveras on their journey as they continue to make waves in the UK’s Alternative scene.

Mick Arnell & The Kets
Originating from Peterlee, Mick Arnell has been a stalwart of the local music scene since as far back as the 1980’s. Having fronted an array of bands down the years and making no less than three appearances at Glastonbury Festival, this talented singer songwriter is still going strong as Mick Arnell & The Kets. Mick’s new crop of songs don’t shy away from the big issues of the day covering environmental, social, local and international issues as well as personal relationships.

Vice Killer
Vice Killer are a four-piece Indie/Alternative Band based in Peterlee, County Durham. The release of their 2021 debut EP ‘Alone, in This World’ set the band up for their first shows in South London, before selling out shows in the North East. 2024 has seen the band release their EP ‘Keep On Fighting On’ featuring the single ‘The Dark Side of the Railway (Sunny).

The Lake Poets
Having performed solo at Seaham Food Festival in 2022, we’re delighted to be welcoming back award-winning singer and songwriter Marty Longstaff (aka The Lake Poets). Ingrained with the gritty imagery of storm weathered coastal cities and the complexities of life and relationships, his lyrics feel immensely personal, often rippling with wistful sadness. Joining Marty will be a backing band of musical friends who bring extra warmth and passion to his songs, described by BBC 6 Music as “Hauntingly beautiful, and quietly devastating”.

The Rock Choir
We are delighted to welcome the stunning vocal arrangements of the North East’s biggest choir. Rock Choir is described as being the UK’s original, and the world’s largest contemporary choir. It holds three Guinness World Records – ‘biggest hit act in the UK’, ‘largest musical act to release an album’ and ‘largest song and dance routine held at multiple locations’.

Elaine Palmer
Elaine has spent most of her life travelling between Yorkshire and Arizona and her songs reflect this dual heritage. She has has just returned from California where she recorded an album Half Moon Rising with Matt Lynott (drummer with White Buffalo drummer), Bobby Furgo (Leonard Cohen’s violinist) Patrick McClory and Dave Berzansky (Hacienda Brothers pedal steel) and Mike Butler (guitars).

Emma Fisk's Hot Club Du Nord
Featuring British Jazz Awards Nominee Emma Fisk on violin and the exceptional talents of James Birkett and David Harris (guitars) and Bruce Rollo (double bass), the band encompasses a wealth of knowledge and love of the hot club-gypsy jazz style. They bring to life the classic repertoire of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli’. A treat for connoisseurs of swing, string jazz and lovers of all things vin.

The Revolutionaries
Sighting Louis Jordan, Big Joe Turner, Little Richard, and Chuck Berry amongst their influences, The Revolutionaires power out jumpin’ hot rhythm & blues in their own indomitable hard hitting style. Having established themselves on the UK and European Rockin’ circuit, they have toured extensively both in the UK and abroad, performing at festivals in Ireland, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Holland, Germany, Norway, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Malta and Dubai.
